Update: Where have I been?

So I haven't blogged for a very long time which is rubbish of me and also means that I broke my New Years Resolution! I also haven't done a YouTube video in about a month, this is due to a lot of reasons, I will be doing a video tomorrow explaining where I have been but I'll give the people that read this a quick explanation now as I want to write something!
I haven't been very well lately and I had to have a small operation last week, it was only a 'keyhole' one but it still took some recovery and I felt awful all the time before I had the operation. I missed a lot of college, I also got upset in one lesson and took it out on the lecturer, cried some more, went home...then cried to my mum and boyfriend :L The thought of having to have this done and the fact that I felt awful and still had to try and drag myself into college got too much and I got really depressed. I'll admit that I'm still feeling quite depressed, I don't know why but hey ho, not much I can do about it! Oh I also found out that I'm even weirder than I thought I was, when I had to have my drip put in they have to tap a vein while you repeatedly clench your hand and I kind of liked the pain! I'm a freak. OH and the guy putting it in was gorgeous and I made a fool out of myself in front of him (I'll elaborate more in the video).

So that's it all in all! Hopefully this never happens again because it wasn't too pleasant, but I'm feeling physically better now so all is well.

What else has been going on?

Not a lot other than the operation has happened, although there are a few other things that happened that were a bit more cheery.

  • I have my interview for my new college course (Uniformed Services) for next year on Tuesday and I'm bricking it :L
  • I have an interview for a new job tomorrow (well technically today).
  • My sister is having a baby! All the family are placing bets on whether its going to be a boy or a girl. I've gone for a boy!
  • My sister is also getting married this Friday, so we've all been doing a lot of planning and organising for that (well mainly my mum has).
  • Me and the boyfriend got our outfits for it sorted and I have a feeling we're going to look sexual, he looks yummy in a suit. OH I've also purchased the highest of all high heels.
  • I got my extensions replaced, we bought them and my sister put them in for me! They feel much better quality than the last ones and I've cut them a tiny bit shorter. I'll include a photo of me when I took the old ones out, my hair has grown so much!
  • This is rather boring but I bought a new foundation, I've always stuck to the Revlon PhotoReady but got the new Rimmel one instead which I'll being doing a review of soon :)
  • We got a new kitchen and shower put in, which has made me happy for some reason. I think we've already established that I am a weird type of person.
  • College is still shit though :L

First photo: That's not everything I'm wearing, I'll look better on the night :L
Second: I had to cut his face out of he would of thrown a tantrum :P
Third: My face looks funny.
Fourth: Its fairly good :L

I will now leave you in peace. Bye bye my lovelies!

OOTD: Beetlejuice!

So this is going to be a quick post about what I wore today! So first off, the reason for the name of the post. I got off the bus and my sister was just pulling out in her car from our house because she had to pop in to get something, so I had a quick chat with her and the first thing she said was 'you look like beetlejuice in those leggings' And I found it highly amusing! Hence the name.

I am wearing stripy leggings, which I got off eBay and they were £6.64, although they only really fit one size, they list that 'one size fits all' but they don't, I'm usually a 6-8 on the bottom and they are a bit tight on me.

I'm wearing a plain black cami and a black blouse with gold buttons and long sleeves. The necklace is a long gold chain with two rings on the bottom and its from Primark, I think it was around £3?

I am also wearing a black quilted jacket with gold buttons and zip, this was the only jacket that really went with this outfit.

I'm sporting my everyday bag which is a leather (fake) bag with a fur (fake) flap over lid.

And finally I have my leopard print wedges which are from international and were around £28, I think. They're really comfy considering they are quite high and my god are they gorgeous! :D My new love.

So that is what i wore today, i hope you enjoyed it. Byeee!

Want To Smell Like Miss Dior Cherie, But For A Fraction Of The Price?

Want to smell like Miss Dior Cherie but don't want to pay the ridiculous price?!

Then you need to get 'Next - Diamonds', next sell a range of perfumes and most of them have high brand duplicate, which I'll include later in the post! At the moment the only dupe I have is the Dior one. I believe most people already know about the dupes but I thought I would do a blog post about it just in case there are some people who don't know (I, myself only found out a couple of weeks ago!).

I have the 30ml bottle and this is what it looks like, it looks like an old fashion crystal bottle that you might find in your grandma's house, I love it! The 30ml retails for £6.50 where as the Miss Dior Cherie retails at about £40-£50. I think the scent is lovely, its quite sweet and almost sherbety, I personally think its very unique (which may seem bizarre seens as it is a dupe). Its just plain yummy, its one of those perfumes you just have to smell! I think that is all I have to say about this perfume! I'll now go on to telling you the other dupes just in case you didn't know them!

1. Next - Just Pink is a duplicate for....
Ralph Lauren - Romance

2. Next - Define is a duplicate for...

Armani - She

3. M&S - True Red is a duplicate for...

Hugo Boss - Deep Red

4. M&S - Azure Breeze is a duplicate for...

D&G - Light Blue

M&S - Butterfly AND Next Flowers are duplicates of...

Marc Jacobs - Daisy

I could literally go on all day with this, there are so many more dupes that I have found out about! But alas, I shall stop now! I hope you enjoyed this post and I shall talk to you in my next one which should be Monday! So keep a look out! Bye my lovelies.

Are You Playing Fantasy Shopper Yet?

So this is going to be a quick post about a website called 'fantasy shopper', most of you have probably already heard of it and may well already be playing on it, but I thought I would do this post just in case anyone doesn't know about it yet!

Basically, once you have signed up, 'fantasy shopper' allows you to browse online stores within their website and purchase the clothing items you like with virtual money. Every hour you get your 'pay day', which to start off with is £60, but as you progress throughout the game you can get more money on your pay day.

Once you have purchased your items they will go to your wardrobe and you can then create outfits with them in the outfit creator.

The screenshot above shows the outfit creator, you can have different racks in your wardrobe for different items! Then all you have to do it drag what items you want to use to where it says 'drag & drop your items here', make them bigger or smaller, lay them out nicely and you're done! You've created an outfit! People in the community can then 'like' or comment on your outfits. You can also follow people who's outfits you like and they will appear in your news feed. You also gain 'badges' throughout the game, for every task/accomplishment that you complete you will gain a badge, you will also get a certain amount of virtual money for obtaining badges. You can also enter 'events', this is when you are given a certain specification and you have to create an outfit to meet it, there are two events per day and there is one winner, the winner is the person with the most 'likes'.

The way I explained it may have been a tad confusing but as soon as you get on the website and have a look around at all the features you will soon get the hang of it! I absolutely love this website, I knew about it a couple of months ago and I played on it for a couple of days then I stopped for a while, but recently I have been on it non stop and I don't think I will be leaving it any time soon! If you haven't already joined the website then you definitely should, follow the link below and get cracking on some lovely outfits!

Click here to sign up to Fantasy Shopper!

If you do sign up, then let me know and I will follow you!

Nail Rock: Nail Wraps Tutorial!

So in the November Glossy box I received the Nail Rock - Nails Wraps in Leopard print. I decided to try them and see if I could do them, so in this post I am going to talk you through what I did :)

So this is everything that came in the little packet. It came with the wraps themselves and a little instruction leaflet which also showed what other nail wraps you can get.

So the first thing I did was see what nail wrap would fit my little finger the best and I stuck it on and made sure it was firmly pressed down and that there were no air bubbles (do the same for all other nails).

Then I got the hair dryer at the ready and blow dried the nail for about 5 seconds.

You know the nail is done when the wrap starts to bend as shown in the picture above and starts to become more flimsy. Once you have blow dried it, press the wrap down again just to make sure all the glue has stuck to the nail. Then trim the wrap down to the tip of the nail and file all the excess off with a nail file (make sure you file downwards and not upwards).

This is what one of my nails looked like after I had completed those steps.

This is what they looked like when completed, do excuse my manly looking hands :L

I then applied a thin layer around the edge (tip) of my nail just to try and secure the edge of the wrap a bit more so it doesn't peel off.

Once I got the hang of it I thought the whole application of the nail wraps was fairly simple and quite enjoyable. They are said to last 7 days on the finger nails and 8 weeks on the toenails, as of yet I don't know how long they are going to last for me, but I do hope they last as long as promised. Overall I really love these wraps, they are easily applied and they look absolutely amazing and I will definitely be purchasing more patterns.

Review: Benefit Triple Performing Moisturising Facial Emulsion

So I recently purchased the Benefit Triple Performing Moisturising Facial Emulsion and I thought I would do a review on it! I've been using it for about a week and a half now, morning and night. Guess what? ...I absolutely love it! I find that it is moisturising but doesn't leave an annoying oily residue like other moisturisers do, it makes the skin feel soft and fresh looking (almost dewy). It also has SPF15 which is always good as protection from the sun is always needed!

I use a small pump, I don't go all the way down to the bottom, in fact I barely press the pump at all as I find that less than a pea size amount is more than enough. I focus it on my nose, chin and forehead as lately I've found that I've been getting quite dry there (which is weird for me), then I spread the excess on my cheeks.

This product retails for £19.50, I usually wouldn't spend this much on a moisturiser because firstly I don't really like to moisturise as I find it can break me out and secondly that is a lot of money to spend on a skin care product. I mainly bought it because the woman on the Benefit counter was VERY persuasive, but believe me I'm glad she was because I really do adore it! This has to be the one moisturiser that hasn't broke me out, my skin usually reacts badly to moisturisers and I end up with huge pores but I have only got one or two spots with this one (I usually get more than that in a couple of days alone).

Finally, the packaging! I love the shape, style and quality of the bottle, I think its one of the prettiest moisturisers I've ever had! Although saying that, I'm not too keen on the cork style top, that has to be the only bad thing I can think about it! Pathetic, right? You get 50.3ml in the bottle, I think that is a fair amount as I've had other moisturisers with the same amount that haven't been anywhere near as good!

Overall I would definitely recommend this product, I think its absolutely brilliant and I don't think I will ever be going back to regular moisturisers!

ITS NEARLY CHRISTMAS!!!!

So its nearly Christmas and i thought i would do a Christmasy blog post considering i haven't done one in so long! So yesterday we went out and we got our tree and decorations! This year we got a real Christmas tree with some persuasion from myself! This is the first year that we've had a real one (well since i was born), we usually get white or black fake ones because my mum likes it to match with the living room :L

I also took the liberty of decorating my room this year, i never usually decorate it but I'm feeling really Christmasy this year for some reason! So i bought a little white tree and some decorations for my room.

So this is the little Christmas tree that's in my bedroom. I got it from Homebase, it was either £9.99 or £12.99 i can't remember, it came with the tree, lights, some pink, green and blue ball balls and a star. I added the tinsel and some other ball balls. Like I said I've never had a tree in my room before so I'm just a little bit in love with it :L

I just put some tinsel above my bed. Nothing too special there! :L

I decorated my desk with some tinsel, I just sellotaped it around the edge. I also have a cute little ball ball mini Christmas tree thing? :L Oh and I also have a nice candle burning to make me feel more festive :P

This is my little ball ball mini Christmas tree thing :L It is SOOO gaudy and tacky...so i had to have it :L It was again from Homebase and was either £7.99 or £9.99, god I'm terrible with prices! I just think its so cute and is a nice little piece of cuteness to have on my desk :)

Then onto the living room! We have two lights on one wall so we hung one of these on each of them. They aren't something we would usually go for, i though my mum would think they are tacky but she seemed to love the idea of having them. I think they were £2.99 each from Homebase again.

Then we just have this ball ball type wreath hung up on the back window. I think this is really cute and its the same kind of style that my little desk tree is. I think it was £9.99 and again was from Homebase.

And finally our Christmas tree!! Like i said we got a real one this year, and believe me I made sure we got the fattest one there! :L First off we went to this place dedicated to Christmas tree's but they were all really tall and mum was worried we wouldn't be able to fit it in the car :L So we then went to Homebase to get all the decorations and got a tree from there in the end! And it did fit in the car!
