Review | Benefit - Feeling Dandy Lip & Cheek Set!

Recently I decided to purchase a benefit set, after looking through the website for a while I finally decided on the 'Feeling Dandy' set. The set consists of:

4ml luxury sample size of High Beam
4ml luxury sample size of Posie Tint
3 grams worth of dandelion blush
A Small brush to apply it with
6.5ml of Dandelion lipgloss

The packaging is really pretty and it is all contained in a very sturdy box, if you were worrying about this being too big to carry around with you then you needn't worry! The box is very small but somehow manages to pack a lot inside!

When you open the box this is what you'll find! I personally love the way it is all laid out everything is really easy to get out but yet it doesnt all fall out everywhere when you close it.

Now the first product you get is Posietint, this is a lip and cheek stain and it works amazingly as both. I have previously tried a sample size of Benetint and it just didnt work on my cheeks, it would stain before I got a chance to rub it in, so as you can imagine I was a bit dubious about trying this one. I must say I was pleasently surprised, it didnt stain straight away and I could rub it in very easily, it looks lovely under the dandelion blush!
Next is High Beam, now I dont quite feel the same about this product, I find that when I apply it over my foundation it makes it look quite cakey. I'm guessing that it would look a lot better without foundation but at the moment I cant seem to work with it, although I will keep having a go with it and see if I can make it look better!

Next you get the dandelion blusher and a little brush to go with it, personally I think the blush is lovely! I was really looking for a soft/lighter pink blusher that didn't look too 'barbie-ish' and this one is perfect! It applies exactly how you want it too, if you swirl your brush in the blush and apply it straight away then it will come out as a more intense colour where as if you tap it off before hand then it will apply a lot lighter, giving you the option to build up the colour.

Next to the blush you will find the Dandelion lip gloss, I could honestly sit here and talk about it all night! I adore it, hands down the best lip gloss I have ever tried. Now the colour is a light almost translucent peachy pink, you can use it on its own or apply it over the top of Posietint to bring the colour out even more! This is definitely the smoothest, non stickiest most moisturizing lip glosses I have ever tried and I will definitely be purchasing more!

The set also comes with a bunch of 'Tips & Tricks' which show you how to apply each product and I know you're probably thinking 'well isn't it self explanatory' and yes it is but they are a fun little read and they may give you some tips you didn't know about! Underneath the tips and tricks there is also a mirror, it also allows you to cut the tips and tricks out just in case you want easier access to the mirror.

The above photos show the swatches of most of the products and the picture on the left shows what the dandelion blusher looks like on the cheeks! Overall I really love most of the products that are in this set, I will continue to mess about with High Beam to see if I can get it to work for me! I would most definitely recommend this set and I will definitely be purchasing more from Benefit, I am already eyeing up the 'How to look the best at everything' complexion set. Gosh I just realised how long this post is, if you managed to get through it then well done to you!

This Months 'To Buy' List!

So this month there has been a lot of goodies that I have had my eye on and I'd like to purchase the majority of them this month (march), which is a tad ambitious but I can hope!

The first thing I've wanted for a while are the 'Boots - 200 Clear Nails', I've wanted them since 'BroganTatexo' told us about them on her channel! I usually have acrylic nails on which I do myself but they do take a long time to do and they can chip after a while and filling them in gets a bit tedious. So when she told us about these I thought they looked brilliant and they would be a lot easier than the acrylics!

The next thing is a tanning mit....but its no normal tanning mit! :L Its one that can reach your back!! I found this utterly amazing when I discovered it! When tanning I either leave my back or ask my mum to do it which is quite annoying so it would be great to be able to do it myself! :)

I've also been wanting some heated rollers, I love the kind of curls that they make and I want curls to look softer!

I've also been wanting a tangle teezer, I've seen a lot of Bloggers and YouTubers mentioning that they have purchased this and I think it looks brilliant. Sometimes my extensions do get quite knotty and I don't like tugging on them with a brush because its obviously not good for them so I think this would be a better alternative :)

So you probably know that Nicki Minaj has a range with OPI and the colours look absolutely amazing! I want them all, except the pinky purply one.

MAC has also re-released their Tendertones in a new collection and I am soooooo happy! I only started liking the Tendertones just as they were getting rid of them! So I am so glad that they are back again!

I also want the Urban Decay Naked Palette, I know this product is quite old but I still haven't got it, but I've watched tutorials and reviews of it and I want it so badly! The colours look lovely and they are the kind of tones that I love!

More Nicki Minaj, you're probably thinking I'm obsessed with her or something, I'm not but I love all the ranges she is bringing out with companies! So it is the Viva Glam Lipstick in 'Bright Yellow Pink'.

Next is Benefits 'Porefessional', with my new skincare routine I don't get many spots but I do get one or two every now and again and they don't look very flattering underneath make up, so anything that minimizes them would be brilliant!

The next two things are the Real Techniques Make Up Brushes, the ones I wanted are the stippling brush and the blush brush.

And finally I have been looking for a liquid eyeliner, I usually use gel liners but I want to try something new! So I'm hopefully going to get the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner.

And that's everything, I hope you enjoyed this post! Byee!!

My Skincare Routine

Today I'm going to be taking you through my skincare routine, I would rather do it on here as oppose to making a video because I don't really want to demonstrate it as I have some spot scaring on my chin and I can't stand it!

Firstly I would like to say that I did purchase the cleanser and wash about 5 months ago but I only used them both a couple of times and I didn't really give them a chance and I really wish I did! I'm fairly sure I gave up on it because I was still getting spots but I wasn't using it in the same way as I am now and I have also added another product that really helps!

I use the first two products when I am in the shower which I personally think makes a massive difference. I don't do this routine everyday because I think it would be too harsh, I only do it every other day.

So the first thing I use is by the brand 'Good Things Stay Clear' and it is their purifying cleanser, this smells amaze-balls. It really does get all of your make up off, I even use it for my eye make up although I am careful not to get it in my eyes because it does sting! I use this with the scrublet that comes with the L'oreal Paris Perfect Clean Gentle Scrub (but I don't use the actual scrub).

Then after I use the Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash & Mask, after I have used my cleanser I apply a thick layer to my face and leave it on for about 3-5 minutes (whilst in the shower) then again I use the scrublet to wash it off. After I done both these I find that my skin feels really soft.

Finally I use the Benefit Triple Performance Facial Emulsion, even though my skin does feel soft after using the other two products it still begins to get a bit dry after after about an hour or so, so I apply a thin layer of the moisturiser. Even though I don't use the first two products everyday, I do moisturise every night because my face does get dry especially around my nose and chin.

So that is everything I do for my skincare and I have found lately that I'm not getting as many spots, its usually only one every couple of days, and that more or less goes away if I carry on with the routine! I've also introduced this routine to my boyfriend and it has worked wonders for him! :)

Review: Collection 2000 XXL Volume Sensation Mascara

So recently I've been running out of my Benefit 'They're Real' mascara and I thought I would try something different instead so I chose the Collection 2000 Volume Sensation thinking it would just be a normal mascara. After using it I noticed how it made my lashes look a lot thicker and longer and I would even go as far to say its just as good if not better than the Benefit mascara. The benefit mascara did make my lashes longer and more spread out but it didn't really make them look fuller where as the Collection 2000 one does. The pictures below show me applying it and what the packaging and brush look like.

I haven't actually read any other reviews on this product so I don't know what everyone else thinks of it, but I absolutely love it! It has a fat bristle brush, I don't usually like the way other mascaras with this kind of a brush apply, I usually stick to the plastic brushes. When I picked this one up I didn't realise it had this kind of brush, but I'm glad I did because I actually love the way it applies, believe it or not but I don't actually get any mascara on my lid like I usually would with other mascaras! :L And the tube is just amaze-balls, well its cute anyway ;)

So all in all I would very much recommend this mascara if you haven't tried it! :D

Review: Benefit Triple Performing Moisturising Facial Emulsion

So I recently purchased the Benefit Triple Performing Moisturising Facial Emulsion and I thought I would do a review on it! I've been using it for about a week and a half now, morning and night. Guess what? ...I absolutely love it! I find that it is moisturising but doesn't leave an annoying oily residue like other moisturisers do, it makes the skin feel soft and fresh looking (almost dewy). It also has SPF15 which is always good as protection from the sun is always needed!

I use a small pump, I don't go all the way down to the bottom, in fact I barely press the pump at all as I find that less than a pea size amount is more than enough. I focus it on my nose, chin and forehead as lately I've found that I've been getting quite dry there (which is weird for me), then I spread the excess on my cheeks.

This product retails for £19.50, I usually wouldn't spend this much on a moisturiser because firstly I don't really like to moisturise as I find it can break me out and secondly that is a lot of money to spend on a skin care product. I mainly bought it because the woman on the Benefit counter was VERY persuasive, but believe me I'm glad she was because I really do adore it! This has to be the one moisturiser that hasn't broke me out, my skin usually reacts badly to moisturisers and I end up with huge pores but I have only got one or two spots with this one (I usually get more than that in a couple of days alone).

Finally, the packaging! I love the shape, style and quality of the bottle, I think its one of the prettiest moisturisers I've ever had! Although saying that, I'm not too keen on the cork style top, that has to be the only bad thing I can think about it! Pathetic, right? You get 50.3ml in the bottle, I think that is a fair amount as I've had other moisturisers with the same amount that haven't been anywhere near as good!

Overall I would definitely recommend this product, I think its absolutely brilliant and I don't think I will ever be going back to regular moisturisers!
